Same here. I have bought quite a few from Nauck and have never had a problem. The "Disk-O-File" brown pasteboard sleeves are especially nice and available in a wide variety of sizes.

I'd like to understand how that works. I see what looks like a template in your pictures, but the rest is a mystery. I have made a few sleeves from a 24" roll of craft paper, but it is time-consuming. I plan to make a template that I lay atop the paper, then trace around with an Exacto knife. After folding, I use a glue stick. I haven't figured out the best way to cut neat circles yet.

I wish someone made sleeves for all the oddball metric sizes of Pathé records. Until then, I'll have to make them myself.

Hi

The frame you see in the picture is a clicking knife commonly use in the leather shoe industry, the edge that is facing down is very sharp. The machine that the knife is sitting on is a clicking press, also used in the leather shoe industry. I have these tools because I make leather clothing for outlaw motor cycle clubs www.gypsyleather.com.au

I bought a roll of craft cardboard and use the press and knife to cut the covers out, I then have a template board that I made with all the scoring sections set with strips of perspex. Once scored I then fold into shape and with a glue gun full of contact adhesive I glue them together. Hope this is of help.

Regards Marcel

I usually buy my 78s sleeves from musictools.de which is still not within your country but nearby. They are available in white and brown color, sometimes not 100% precise but still a good usable product.

Thanks for all the advice. After some more searching I found a company here in the Netherlands that can supply brown cardboard sleeves. The price is EUR 7,50 for 25 sleeves (about 9/10 USD).

I ordered 100 sleeves, and a little while later the inventory status changed to "tijdelijk uitverkocht" (temporarily out of stock). I guess they don't sell a lot of those!

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but in regard to the diamond disc sleeves, are Nauck's version specifically made for them? As in, they have a "wider bottom"? (That sounds weird...) Place a DD in a standard sleeve and the Top will bow out due to the ¼ inch width of the disc. I'd like to find some sleeves that are specifically made to hold DDs. I see one fellow in Germany offers very nice felt lined sleeves for them, but the cost would be astronomical unless you just had a handful of them....60 euros for 10. John

I buy all of my 10" sleeves from them, and they are great. The antique green are my favorite. The 12" sleeves, however, do not fit over early Columbias or Victors, as they are considerably thicker.
I've purchased 16,000 of the Bags Unlimited "Antique Green" 10"sleeves over the past few years, and have been very pleased with them. Will be ordering another 4000 this coming month.

I really do wish that they would offer 12" sleeves of similar quality, sized for 78's, not for LP's as are their current offerings.

A always use the Disc-O-File sleeves for all my Edison Diamond Disc records, they seem to fit and work just find. Maybe a wee bit snug but they work just fine. I never have a glue problem or cut wrong problem with them either. It would be great to have the Edison logo and info printed on them just like the old originals but that would probably cost a fortune to print?

I've used the Bags Unlimited poly-lined 12" white sleeves for 78s, and am very pleased with them. The fact that they also work on 33 LPs is a plus, because lots of my vintage LP paper sleeves are falling apart!

I buy the Bags Unlimited heavy duty 12 inch sleeves without the poly liner (sold as LP inner sleeves). They're made from just as heavy duty paper as the 10 inch 78 sleeves, if not slightly heavier and for the most part they're a great product for most 12 inch 78s and very reasonably priced. Acoustic Columbias and Grand Prize Victors among a few others will not fit into them since they're more like 12 ¼ or ½ inch discs. For those, I try to get those nice heavy green "Recordvelope" sleeves or Nauck's Disc-O-Philes when I'm feeling extravagant.
