The same horn is listed in both the 1898 and 1903 Pathé catalogs as #120, but the description does say cardboard, not metal. I don't have any catalogs for other makers, unfortunately.

An educated guess would be that this is a German "family-phonograph" of c. 1902, very similar to those marketed by the company Bial & Freund, Breslau. Sales price was around 50 Mark (equivalent to $12) with nickeled horn.
