I'm sure you already do, but if you don't (especially if you have a store), you should really try to closely follow the completed sales at auctions and keep track of what other dealers are selling things for online and at shows - that's all that anyone else is really basing their price estimates on. and if you don't have them already, the baumbach and fabrizio/paul books would be invaluable (and would have, for example, immediately clarified any confusion over the use of three-spring motors in VV-XVI's).

It's similar to an emoticon, or 'smiley'.

It's called a facepalm, link --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facepalm
and I used it to express my disappointment with your post.

Mostly because the OP came here with a question and your answer implied that he
should learn to figure it out for himself.

The facepalm (and other 'GIFS') are mostly used in a lighthearted, humorous way, and my explanation is just to help you understand why it was used, not to offend you or start an argument. We all have different opinions
and that's what makes places like this fun. I was just trying to insert a bit of humor.

Thank you for the explanation, but I still see nothing offensive in my response (nor do I see anything insulting about encouraging some basic self education in a hobby from which a person is also looking to build a business). Perhaps that would have come across in a more congenial manner though with a few smiley faces. :P :mrgreen: :D
