Auction Find - The Machine that came with the cool stuff

I have started cleaning the cabinet and hardware. I have never seen a machine in this degree of original condition. There is absolutely no pitting on any of the chrome. I have done some light cleaning so far the cabinet seems to have an almost perfect original finish.

Unfortunately I can't keep this thing - I'm at my (wife's) limit of 3.

The little Audiodisc off to the side is an odd duck, though. Someone stuck that in years later.

Here are some pics of the VV XI that I purchased to obtain records and ephemera inside it. I am slowly cleaning it to its original finish. I've spent parts of 2 days on it. I've done nothing but cleaned it. It won't need anything else. Jim

Maybe some collectors don't usually get excited by a Victrola XI (and maybe I'm one of them), but had I found an oak one with such nice grain, in such nice condition, and with all the goodies - I'd have bought it too!

Nice find. They don't often come down to us in such nice condition.

All I can say is "WOW!" Looks like this machine never wandered very far from its birthplace. Is that the original turntable felt? I assume you have the horn doors off for cleaning. I thought my mahogany XI-G was in good condition, but your oak job has it beat by far!

I agree with George. Some of my favorite machines are considered common but just look so nice (great oak grain) that I would hate to give them up. Congratulations on a great find. I would have bought it too.

Good oak grain often lifts a machine like this above the commonplace.
