An interesting but maybe not too encouraging anecdote - a customer asked me to recondition a nice old Edison C-100 he acquired from the estate of his grandmother. Originally, the estate appraisers valued it at $400, so when he expressed interest in it, they told him he could have it for that amount. That was too much for him so it went to auction. There, he ended up buying it with a bid of $35. The auction took place in Seattle.

I agree with Soundgen, eBay may be your best bet. There is a seller who is auctioning off a really nice collection right now and they are all going for good prices(for the seller). The seller has cheap shipping prices to expand the customer market, which is leading to some heated bidding wars- I have been watching and crying from the sidelines, especially since I would be close enough to do a local pickup should I win any.

Given the size and availability of the machine's listed......definitely "not" Ebay material. Unless it's a very rare and highly sought machine(floor model). Most will not bid on Ebay because of logistics.

Heres a thought for you "Dutchman".......why not list each of the machine's currently in this auction in our "Yankee Trader" section with a link or pic of each. Then, if a member on our forum would care to bid.....they will see it easily.
After all.....it is the place for "all" of the members to list and sell their wares... .

Thanks for all the responses. Inasmuch as the autcion house has a total of 17 of my machines it would appear that on Oct 21 when the auction closes I will have basically given away the first 6 of 17 away for peanuts.
