That's the Sonora Symphony model, circa 1926.

Top of the line, and designed to compete with the Victrola Credenza, so I don't know if the price is unrealistic, considering its quality.

There are a number of videos on YouTube, for instance -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd14J8yI9ZA

Do the twin grilles conceal a bifurcated horn, and is it made of metal or wood?

Earlier Sonoras were marketed in the UK by the well known music publishers Keith, Prowse & Co.Ltd, but these later models are almost unknown over here. I wonder how they compare with a Cortez, a Credenza or a big Re-Entrant HMV.

There are some excellent photos on this thread, showing the bifurcated wooden horn, etc. -- http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =2&t=13932

That Nat Cole album should sound pretty rough on that Sonora! ;)
