VATICAN CHANT cylinder records...any translators out there?
Latin? Any translation? Any info? Haven't even picked these up yet. Just found at a 3 generation auction along with a bunch of Edison cylinders. See pics...

Choral music with a connection to the Vatican would almost certainly have been sung in Latin.
Your local Catholic Priest should be able to translate the cylinders, and would probably find them interesting.

I about promise you I have the sheet music for this at home in the 1925 edition of the St Basil's Hymnal. I have a little bit of a background in Gregorian, and have settings for some of this in regular notes as well as an organ in working order.
There's a really good chance I'm holding onto the sheet music. Let me look and I'll get back to you.
