Well I bent the part some. I hope this is good enough.

I have removed the offending governor spring so until I get the spring in the mail this will be put on hold a couple days.

Ok I have installed the new governor spring and it’s still the same no side play issue. But I noticed something.

I took the cover off the belt and was greeted with this. You think I should replace the belt?

Absolutely. And both belt pulleys should be clean and dry and in perfect alignment with each other.

Yep. I took the belt off and it literally fell apart in three pieces…

As for the Carriage issue, I’m just gonna do a swap with my parts machine.

But once again, this machine will be put on the back burner again until I get a new belt.

The side play comes from the reproducer and is not a function of the carriage. If possible, just swap out the reproducer only.

When I get a new belt, I'll pop the reproducer on my Type A on.

By the way, is this the proper size belt for a Eagle?

One more possibility, IF you are playing 2 minute Indestructibles... They are known to shrink lengthwise, causing skipping when played.
